
Rob Schultz is a seasoned venture capitalist with over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, consultant, and investor in technology companies. As a Managing Partner at Serra Ventures, he focuses on early growth stage investments, particularly in the ag-tech sector. Rob is passionate about mentoring young companies, leveraging his extensive experience to guide them towards sustainable growth.
Prior to his role at Serra Ventures, Rob served as a Managing Director at Illinois Ventures and was a Partner in the Illinois Emerging Technology Funds (IETF), both of which specialize in commercializing research-derived innovations in the Midwest. He is the founder and former CEO of DigitalWork, Inc., a SaaS marketing platform for small businesses, where he successfully led the company from startup through an IPO process, raising over $65 million in venture capital. Earlier in his career, Rob held positions as President of Nequity, a subsidiary of Signet Bank, and as a consultant with McKinsey & Company and Deloitte & Touche.
Rob holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
