Widely recognized for his role in reshaping Walmart’s beef sourcing strategy, Lamar was the architect behind the company’s landmark move to a direct ranch-to-retail model, dramatically improving quality, consistency, and traceability at scale. Today, he advises leading retailers, ranchers, and AgTech companies across North America on supply chain strategy and protein optimization. As a board member at Völur, Lamar brings unmatched domain expertise and deep industry relationships to support the company’s mission of transforming meat processing through AI. Lamar holds a degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
